Is My Phone Worth Trading In?

So, let’s get one thing straight. The condition of your phone plays a big role in what you’ll get back in the trade-in value. Most trade-in schemes grade your phone based on it condition. Don’t worry —we’re here to break it all down for you!

“Good” Condition – If your phone could be a supermodel, this would be the perfect condition:

Your phone powers up and no major issues.
The screen is in pristine condition – no visible scratches
Battery health should be 80% or higher, and it should have fewer than 500 full charge cycles.
No liquid damage – make sure it doesn’t go skinny dipping with you!
No unauthorised mods or jailbreaks
The housing is intact, with no chips, cracks, or peeling, and all the buttons should work.

“Poor” Condition – It’s not as cute as it once was, but it still on fleek:

The phone still works, but it’s got some battle scars.
LCD has some scratches, but no cracks or chips.
The housing’s holding up but has a few bumps and bruises.
The battery’s still going strong (over 80% health, less than 500 cycles)
Everything still functions – buttons, Face ID, etc.

“Broken” Condition – Not a lost cause, just don’t expect it to win any beauty pageants:

The phone’s limping on one leg but still manages to power on – somehow!
The LCD might be cracked (but no screen bleeding or discoloration)
Housings been through an absolute hurricane. Cracks and chips galore, but nothing too catastrophic.
Battery health is probably below 80%, and it has over 500 charge cycles.
